What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a site places on your device. Similar storage — localStorage, sessionStorage — can hold more. This site uses first-party browser storage for the working draft and for first-party counts, and it uses Clerk cookies when sign-in is switched on.

What we actually use

Essential / functionality — Seat Everyone. The working guest list in this browser, and the visitor and session ids described on the privacy page. These are first-party. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them. The draft will go with them.
Sign-in — Clerk. When accounts are on, Clerk sets session cookies so you stay signed in. Their practices are in Clerk’s privacy policy. Sign out, or clear cookies, to drop them.
Advertising. None. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not work with an ad network.
Analytics vendors. None. Counts of what the site does are written by this site into this site’s own database. There is no Google Analytics cookie here.
Social, Flash, mobile SDKs, session replay. None. There is no native mobile app, Flash storage, or session-replay vendor.

Your choices

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site storage. If you block all storage, the working draft cannot stay in this browser, and sign-in may not hold. We do not honor a separate advertising opt-out because we do not serve interest-based ads. We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
